Quartz Wool is available in sealed bags from 10 grams up to 1kg . Available in:
1.Ultrafine (2 micron diameter),
2.Fine (4 micron diameter)
3.Coarse (9 - 30micron diameter)
Uses include
1.High temperature insulation, up to 1050 Centigrade (long term exposure). Excellent Heat Resistant insulation
2.Filtration of high temperature corrosive gases & liquids due to its excellent chemical resistance
3.Barrier plug for combustion tubes.
4.Furnace insulation, low thermal shock - high electrical resistivity
Quartz wool is made up of high purity fused quartz glass fiber. It is indefinite, continuous quartz fiber, and does not have volatile adhesives, or break. It has four types with different average fiber diameter, i. E. 1-3um, 3-5um, 5-9um and 9-15um.
